Softwood

Spartan Forest Products supplies all grades and sizes of domestic and imported softwoods, ranging in quality from industrial to select. Our long-standing mill relationships allow us to purchase large quantities of various types of pine, fir, cedar and cypress. Whether you are looking for dimensional or utility grade lumber or high-quality pine for handcrafting furniture, our expert team can provide you with the softwood lumber that meets your exact needs.

Treated Lumber

Kiln-Dried Pressure Treated Lumber (KDAT)

KDAT lumber is kiln dried before pressure treatment which minimizes warps, cups and twists. It is nationally recognized as a more stable substructure to both wood and composite decking.

Pressure Treated Lumber

Pressure treated lumber is available in a variety of grades including UC3 above ground grade commonly used throughout the U.S. for decking, railing, porch flooring and above ground joists and beams; and UC4 ground contact grade for ground contact posts, joists and beams.

Both pressure treated and KDAT decking is available in:

5/4″ x 6″ decking in varying lengths, as well as joist, post and beam sizes.

Exotic Species

Our specialization lies in the procurement of sustainably sourced tropical hardwoods from Brazil as well as Japanese Cedar. Brazilian exotic species seamlessly blend beauty, quality, and natural durability. Choose from a range of options, including bulk lumber available in random or specific widths, various flooring and decking profiles. Additionally, we regularly import Japanese cedar, providing a cost-effective and readily available alternative to western red cedar.

Thermally Modified

Thermal modification turns wood into a vastly improved outdoor construction material. Lumber is heated to an extremely high temperature in a controlled pyrolysis process altering the structure of the wood which gives it extraordinary resistance to mold, rot, decay and insects. Widely used throughout Europe, Thermal lumber is ideal for decking, porches, cladding, outdoor structures, saunas, and wine cellars.
